چکیده

Background Although neutrophils and lymphocytes play well-established roles in the pathogenesis of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), their count is most often ignored by clinicians. However, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) seems to be great value evaluation disease activity. Objectives Our objective determine interest this study its relationship with other parameters RA Methods Cross-sectional 70 patients followed for RA. We performed a biological check-up including complete blood (CBC), an ESR CRP level. A NLR was calculated each patient. Results There were 58 women (82.9%) 12 men (17.1%) mean age 54.7 ± 13.6 years [19-82]. The duration 10.1± 9.9 years. Sixteen (22.8%) had recent (<2 years). DAS 28 5.38± 1.48. Thirty-nine (55.7%) high average 59 mmH1± 35 [12-150] 30.3 mg/l 28.6 [0-159], respectively. Anemia inflammation observed 43.3% cases. Lymphopenia found 28.6% cases, neutropenia 1.4% neutrophilic polynucleosis 17% 3.62±2.68 [0.48-13.26]. It 3.7 severe activity 3.5 those low moderate Statistical analysis significant association between anemia (p=0.003), (p=0.005), (p=0.038) assessed (p=0.04). Conclusion Despite fact that there are few studies evaluating NLR, our concludes considered as alternative inflammatory biomarker could used assess References [1] Lijuan W et al. Investigating Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictive Marker of Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Background and purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease characterized by synovitis, inflammation, and joint destruction that if not well controlled can destroy cartilage, bone, ligaments and tendons, and in some cases cause disability. The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible role of the ratio of neutrophil-lymphocyte (NLR) as an inflammatory mar...

Comparing bone mineral density in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis

Background: Changes in patients’ bone mineral density (BMD) is one of the problems in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which can be due to the use of corticosteroid drugs to reduce patients' symptoms or due to the aging process in patients. In this study, we decided to compare BMD in patients with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: This study as a cross-sectional descrip...

Skin inflammatory reactions to capsaicin in rheumatoid arthritis patients compared to healthy controls

Objective: Previous studies have examined the role of sensory nerves and neural mediators in symmetrical joint inflammation and autoimmunity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In this study, we sought to examine the association between capsaicin skin test and disease activity in RA patients. Materials and Methods: Eighty RA patients (case group) and 20 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this experi...

ANTINEUTROPHIL CYTOPLASMIC AUTOANTIBODI ES IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies (ANCA) were detected in patients with autoimmune and vascular diseases such as Wegener's granulomatosis, polyarteritis nodosa and systemic lupus erythematosus. Indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) technique was employed to detect these autoantibodies. By this method, two general patterns of ANCA were seen: a cytoplasmic (cANCA) and a perinuclear form ...
